YOUR EXPERIENCE

At Magnolia Hill Homestead, each visit is a guided walk through the land — a hosted, intentional gathering where we slow down, observe, and learn together. This is a space for learning on the land, where you’ll be invited to see, touch, and understand the plants growing all around us in a hands-on way.

You’re welcome to bring a snack, lay down a blanket in the orchard, and enjoy the nature during your visit. Please be respectful of the land - stay on trails and leave it as you found it.

TERRAIN + ACCESSIBILITY

This is a natural, outdoor homestead setting set on four acres of walking path. The walk includes grass, uneven ground, some hills, and a narrow bridge near the pond. There are no paved paths.

This space may not be suitable for those with mobility limitations. Please use your own discretion and comfort level when deciding if this experience is a good fit for you.

PARKING

When you arrive, please park along the outside fence line to the left of both red gates, pulling straight in. If that area is full, continue through the second red gate (not the driveway gate) and park straight in facing the inside of the fence.

Please carpool if possible, as parking is limited. If there is no space inside the fence, you may need to park along the street. There are no sidewalks, so pull completely to the side to ensure larger vehicles can pass safely. Please plan to arrive 10-15 minutes early to allow time for parking and walking in.

LOCATION

From there, walk past the barn toward the orchard, where you’ll find a table with refreshments and our meeting area. Please do not enter the driveway gate or any areas leading up to the main home, as this is a private residence.

WHAT TO BRING

Water, blanket, notebook, pen or crayons, snack, sunscreen, bug spray (apply ahead of time), camera, hiking shoes or boots, wide-brimmed hat, printed worksheets, basket and scissors for foraging, and a small first aid kit (all optional).

WHAT NOT TO EXPECT

This is not a structured classroom setting. This is a real, natural environment, and each visit will vary with the season.

SAFETY

Before attending, please take a moment to read through the Guest Acknowledgment (liability disclosure) linked below. By participating in any event on the property, you are acknowledging and agreeing to those terms.

BATHROOMS

There are no bathrooms available for guest use on the property. Please plan ahead before arriving.

PRINTABLE WORKSHEETS

For events that include children, you’re welcome to print the optional worksheets (below) to bring along and make the experience more interactive and fun. The scavenger hunt is based off of things you will see on your walk. Each visit is thoughtfully created to offer a meaningful, hands-on connection with the land.
