Welcome to the Trail!

Hi there!

I want to officially welcome you to the Farm Stand Trail, and introduce myself. I’m Renee, the hands behind Magnolia Hill Homestead.

After creating a slower, more intentional life out here, I started to notice how many incredible small farms and stands were tucked away all around us. The Farm Stand Trail is something I’ve been craving for a long time - a way to bring people together, support local families, and turn an ordinary drive into something really fun.

I’m not a big organization, just someone who cares deeply about this community & has a little time on my hands…

I just want to say thank you.

Thank you for being part of this from the very beginning.

This wouldn’t exist without you.

As we move into the summer season, I’m really excited about what this can become.

Fresh produce, eggs, flowers, homemade goods - all the things that make shopping local feel meaningful and memorable.

And beyond that… the chance to create something that brings people together.

I would love for this to grow into more than just a map.

Some ideas already in motion:

  • collaborate with some fun community events along the trail

  • seasonal features and highlights

  • and even something like a “trail punch card” or rewards system to encourage people to visit multiple stands

If you ever have ideas, I would genuinely love to hear them.

This is something we’re building together.

I’ve also created a Facebook page for the Farm Stand Trail where I’ll be sharing updates, new stand additions, seasonal highlights, and future events.

We’ll be encouraging visitors to take photos when they stop by - it’s a great way for people to discover your stand and see what you have to offer!

If you’re not already part of it, I’d also love to invite you to the Homesteaders of Western Kentucky Facebook group:

We’re working on monthly meetups and workshops at different homesteads, and it’s been a really beautiful way to connect with others in the area.

For me, this is really about giving back.

I’ve been craving more connection, more community, and more ways for people to support each other locally… and this felt like a simple way to start.

If you have any questions at all, or if there’s anything you need, don’t hesitate to reach out. I hope you gain many new friends this summer.

I’m so grateful you’re here.

See you on the trail,

Renee Weatherford - Magnolia Hill Homestead
